Summer school for doctoral students and early career researcher

Transferable skills increasingly become a central part of doctoral-level education. The development of strong transferable skills adds to the employability of doctoral researchers and early career researchers, enhances their research projects, and facilitates communication of the significance of research to wider audiences.

The one-week Summer School, designed as an experience-based and practice-led programme of activities, aims to bring together postgraduate and early career researchers from the participating and associated partners for training in (a) communication skills,(b) career management, (c) organisation leadership and project management, and (d) intercultural competences.

The Summer School will be organised around the five thematic areas that the YERUN has identified as key topics (in particular: social inclusion, open education, technology and digital learning, and open science). The Summer School will bring together participants and experts with a wide variety of academic backgrounds. Hereby it aims to create a unique international, inter-sectorial and interdisciplinary environment, in view of proposing solutions for major societal challenges..
